For this little guy, happiness is infectious. When you come upon Alex discontent, try this: catch his eye and smile. Even when he's so worked up that his eyes are scrunched into two little slits and his face is flushed red, he manages to notice. He'll stop mid-scream, flash a few grins, and most of the time forget why he was upset in the first place. What a heart-melter!
Are you catching a theme here? Here's a picture of Alex on his colorful playmat, surrounded by his favorite toys. Needless to say, he is smiling.
But he really needs no excuse. "Smiles" could be Alex's middle name. I wish I could post a picture of him smiling in his sleep, but I haven't been able to catch it on camera... yet!
